2013 Spring Break Up Drawing Winner Details!Lake Superior Marine Museum Association Announces “Spring Break Up” Second Chance This year the members of the Lake Superior Marine Museum Association (LSMMA) in conjunction with the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center were given a second chance to win our annual “Spring Break Up” drawing. Due to the generosity of our original winners, Richard and Rose Marie Eichmueller of Duluth, another lucky LSMMA member is now being given a chance to enjoy this once in a lifetime opportunity. The winner of the “Spring Break Up” was originally drawn on March 24 around 2:00 a.m. when the first Great Lakes Fleet/Key Lakes ship went under the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge. After the Eichmueller’s generously declined and offered to give the trip back to the members to draw again, a new winner was chosen. Thomas Drouillard of Golden, Colorado, and a guest, will enjoy a round-trip cruise aboard the Great Lakes Fleet/Key Lakes, Inc. 1,000-foot ore carrier, the Edwin H. Gott. The winners will set sail from Two Harbors or Duluth, Minnesota, and cruise through the Soo Locks and the St. Mary’s River. The 5.5 day cruise will be scheduled for later this summer. LSMMA still conducts its “Cruise of a Lifetime” raffle. Tickets for the annual “Cruise of a Lifetime” raffle will go on sale the beginning of April. The “Cruise of a Lifetime” drawing will be held during the 2013 Gales of November, LSMMA’s educational, fundraising and networking benefit. The raffle drawing will take place on Saturday, November 2 at 5:30pm at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. Contact LSMMA or visit their website for raffle ticket pricing and details.
Remember, only LSMMA members are eligible for the annual Spring Break Up Drawing - a five day Great Lakes cruise on the Great Lakes Fleet/Key Lakes, Inc.’s 1,000 ore boat, the Edwin H. Gott.
