The popularity of a bus guided field trip has once again been planned. Please join the Lake Superior Marine Museum Association in a fun-day trip to the city of Bayfield, Wisconsin, where we will board the Island Princess to cruise 55 miles through the 22 Apostle Islands. The cruise allows us views of the historic Raspberry and Devils Island lighthouses and the famous Devils Island sea caves. The Captain’s narration reveals rich heritage, geology, legends and lore, as we admire the pristine beauty of the National Lakeshore. The second stage of the day will be touring the Bayfield Maritime Museum where we are encouraged to take about one and a half hours for hands on demon-strations, learn about the commercial fishing, boat building traditions, lighthouses, sailer crafts, shipwrecks and more.
Hungry? Grunkes by the lake has agreed to give us a Fish Boil We will be served mouth watering Lake Superior White Fish, potatoes, cole slaw, bread and for those of you who are our desert fans, you got it – desert.
Parking and Bus Pick Up: the DECC/Duluth will charge you $4 for parking. Some construction will be in affect so group parking is suggested in the NW corner. Arrival back at the DECC is scheduled for 5:15 pm.

Although initial response has been strong, the coach trip will be cancelled and money refunded if response is insufficient to cover coach expenses.
