Annual St. Louis River Quest
Monday, May 13 – Thursday, May 16, 2013
Duluth, MN
Boatloads of area sixth-grade students, carrying “passports” to document their adventures, will travel through stations in Pioneer Hall at the DECC and on the Vista Star.  The annual event, May 13-16, is the 2013 St. Louis River Quest.  The program is celebrating its 21st year of offering learning opportunities that raise awareness of the St. Louis River ecosystem and interrelated commercial, industrial and recreational activities.

Volunteers are needed to be a part of the celebration along with almost 1,200 sixth-graders.  Morning and afternoon volunteers will be asked to greet the busses as they arrive, remain with the students during their stations, and escort students to their busses at the end of their 2 ½ hour sessions. Each of the 12 stations will last 10 minutes.  After the first six stations, students will switch from either the DECC or the Vista Star to complete the remaining stations.  For more information about River Quest, visit:  www.seagrant.umn.edu/riverquest.  If you can volunteer, please call Kathy Peterson at 218-724-8332.
